About Us
From humble beginnings in Kuala Lumpur, our founder the late Mr Yan, started this business with his ventures in Praise Enterprise and Eco Venture between 1980 to 1999. Envisioning a more sustainable business environment, he moved to Penang and started the Company’s journey with 5 employees and a truck, acting as a collection center for used materials and items, scouring the local factories in Penang on a daily basis.
By January 1999, the late Mr Yan was joined by his two sons and thus was the beginnings of Yan Brothers Industries Sdn Bhd (YBI). Mr Yan (Joshua), had by then completed his studies in economics in Tokyo Japan, and leveraging on his knowhow and network during his time there, YBI was able source for state of the art machinery and the latest recycling technology to revamp and modernise the business.
In 2013, with a cumulated experience of more than three decades, our late founder retired to an advisory role and left the day to day operations of YBI to both his sons until his untimely demise in 2020. YBI has since strive to continue his vision and has been making huge changes in the industry which has resulted in a steady progress on its business activities.
YBI is currently increasing its reach to its vendors to maximize its capacity. We have since increased or fleet of trucks to better capture the ever growing market of plastic scrap which has been our market niche. The source materials are then sorted, re distributed and repacked to be sent to our customers for the next part of the recycling process.
As we reach the next phase of our growth on the increasing demands of our niche industry, YBI has since embarked on our business growth plan via a down stream expansion model to achieve its mission of being a total solution provider in the plastic scrap recycling industry as we take pride in achieving an environmentally sustainable business success model.
